Paint is composed of binders called resins or film formers, solvents, pigments, and additives. The binder forms a coating film after painting, determines appearance via gloss or hiding power, and has a uniform pigment. It is the main component of the coating film, and the performance of the coating depends on the binder used, according to such characteristics as spreading smoothly and making adhesion smooth.
